Between Hermes Limited Editions and old precious Diamonds, a rare heritage for the world of high fashion and jewelery

host by: Mercanteinfiera in the city of Parma

This year I decided to visit Mercanteinfiera, because many people told me about the rarities and treasures that can be found, in terms of Art, Jewelery and Fashion.

So I start my trip to Parma, a city in the north of Italy, famous for its architecture, music and art.
Here I arrive to Mercanteinfiera, an International Exhibition of Modern Antiques and Collectibles which takes place in Parma twice a year.

There are several pavilions, and many stands have caught my attention.
Walking around I understand that the fair hosts antiques dealers from all over Europe who offer unique pieces to antique lovers and collectors.

First stop is in hall 6, stand F23 : the jewels that struck me the most are certainly those of the “E.L.A. Antichità di Bergamo”.

Initially I was attracted to the shop window where I noticed a very rare pair of 18th century gold brooches, topaz and pearls

Moving on from the 1700s to the 1930s, a very elegant gold clutch bag with emeralds and diamonds from the 1930s struck my attention

For every woman who loves diamonds, it is impossible not to be amazed by the bracelet with Egyptian motif in platinum, brilliant sapphires, rubies and emeralds from the 1930s

Going towards the 40s, a wonderful 1940s brooch in claire de lune sapphires and brilliant cabochons, left me speechless for its delicacy

Finally, taking a leap of 20 years, the size and value of the David Webb ring in gold, roca crystal and diamonds from the 1960s certainly does not go unnoticed

The amazing photos of the jewels that you see in this blog, were taken by photographer Danilo Marchesi.

Behind these jewels,  there is Love for art that has always been cultivated by Gian Luca Andreotti, antique dealers for 25 years.

Supported today by his brother Emanuele, he initiated the creation of “E.L.A. Antichità” today recognized as a reference point for lovers of period or vintage jewelry.

Moving from the world of Jewelry to Fashion , I focused on the Hermes limited editions that you can easly find in the hall 5.

The booth of  “Otto Vintage di Jesolo” hosts very rare and significant Hermes bags, as the Authentic Hermès Birkin 35 bag in togo leather, orange color and gold hardware, that is very rare

I also was impressed by the Authentic Hermès Birkin 25 limited edition bag , in black Epsom leather and palladium metal with guilloche finish. This particular process makes the bag very rare since the maison produces very few pieces as a special order

An exclusive setting for Otto Vintage, a new reference point for lovers of luxury and, in particular, of irresistible bags .
The creator of Otto Vintage is the young and enterprising lady, Elena Lamon, graduate in communication sciences. She comes from the jewelry world and has important experiences in Australia and London and New York.

I left her booth, admiring different creations, from fornitures to oil on paintings.
This day was amazing, over a thousand exhibitors who present their works, coming from all the European antiquarian squares, to tens of thousands of professional visitors, collectors and lovers of memory.
What can I add?

I highly suggest you to visit this fair, open from 3 to 11 October, at the Parma Fairs.

This is one of those fairs not to be missed, if you love beauty, if you love art, if you love precious jewels, and the rarest bags, you can get lost, and provide your eyes with many stimuli.
Because Art, Jewelry, and Fashion change over the course of history, they mark very specific eras, but beauty has no age.
