The new Versace Prefall 2019 collection was recently presented in New York and, once again, it takes ispiration from the maison’s archives.

The “safety pin” clothes designed by Gianni Versace in 1994 (spring summer collection) were worn by top models like  Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell.

This style is now back in a modern key on today’s most popular models as the Italian Vittoria Ceretti.

There were many celebrities, such us Gigi Hadid who remarked that her printed hybrid mini ball-gown skirt and T-shirt was “very me, but also very Versace.”

Meanwhile, Vittoria Ceretti was by the clothing racks fawning over her look for the show: a reinterpretation of Gianni’s famous black safety pin dress from the ’90s. “I can’t wait to wear it,” she said. “I actually might run out with it!”

Another great return on the catwalk, is the dress worn by Amber Valletta , for the conclusion of 2019 Prefall Show.

I personally think that the dress line, with its deep V-neckline, its soft sleeves and the fluctuating skirt, are a clear tribute to that amazing dress that in 2000, right on Amber Valletta, enchanted Jennifer Lopez who had chosen him for the Grammy Awards red carpet of that year.
