Milan Fashion Week 2018: Colours, Innovation, Gucci Trash, Hilfiger The Best

From 21 to 27 February in Milan, the best Fashion Houses created an explosion of fashion creativity for Milan Fashion Week 2018, with an elaborate 64-session show.

My experience, taking part of the Milan Fashion Week, was crazy, running from one show to an event, where each collection is customized with incredible installations and settings.

Then I took part at Elisabetta Franchi Show, with her marvellous models of a stunning beauty and charming clothes that I will talk about in another blog specifically dedicated to her and to Ermanno Scervino, in the coming days.

Elisabetta Franchi’s woman is inspired by the charisma of Evita Peron that at this Milan Fashion Week becomes even more secure and independent, as you can see from the picture the light blue rain tranch is innovative with the yellow boots.

While Ermanno Scervino, for this Autumn-Winter 18-19 collection, re-reads its heritage and its iconic garments and infuses them with a contemporary elegance, as you can see his outfit with brown and black colour with very decorative flower, is wonderful. Ermanno Scervino Show, really struck me, beautiful, in one simple word.

Prada shows glowing fluorescents and digital prints were contrasted with tweeds, squared-off parkas, and construction worker vests. Approximations of strapless cocktail dresses had corporate ID cards pinned to the breast.

Ferragamo wants to express a woman that in her red and blue shades in feminine but at the same time very firm. Paul Andrew as creative director made a perfect job!

As we can see from these four pictures, Versace show few harlequin outfits as a homage to the 80 s. Print and colour are in season with brash, busy, primary-colours and pop prints. If you want something less romantic and more aggressive I can definitely suggest that Versace rocked with bright tartans, leather and studs in its fall-winter 2018 collection runway show that was a real punk show.

I personally felt in love with these two outfits of Genny Milano. The Disco-Dance outfit was unique thanks to these glamours silver sequins and the white and black jacket is elegant and sexy with these matt glossy leggings. Tuxedos and asymmetric minidresses, lion tamer-style, shorts and long pants scattered with crystals made the show, just fantastic.

And what about the Iconic Giorgio Armani?

The 4 outfits you can see in the pictures are very different from each other. The first one is perfect for a business woman going to her office with her creative job, the second is a mix of elegance with a unique ethnic necklace , the third one represent a mysterious woman who chooses the red passion as her colour, and the last one on the left is very bohemian with this floral low cut style.

Jeremy Scott is always eccentric for Moschino. The Fresh idea concept ( famous for the Parfum) is a must in the 3rd picture. Scott to splice retro va-va-voom ball gowns with sleek silver beading,  focusing on a JFK conspiracy.

Etrò is always Etrò, with a strong identity. You can admire the explorer in the jungle colours with a touch of geometric red and green pattern in the 3rd pictures as well as the use of high-quality bags as indispensable accessories.

I was very excited to see the wonderful Gigi Hadid for Missoni. The contrast between the black and white chess sweater and a little touch of Jamaican colours for the trousers was incredible.

I have to say that every collection was a very grand, exquisite experience for its visitors, but in particular, I loved  Raffaella Curiel Catwalk, that was amazing and romantic.

I had the opportunity to see the High Fashion creations of Raffaella Curiel in her atelier in Via Monte Napoleone during her flower dresses catwalk. The collection concept is an evolution of the flower petal in movement, Raffaella says, pointing to the wonderful yellow dress made with 17 layers of organza.

On 25 February, the runway-event by five thousand guests of Hilfiger.

And eight creative minds – including Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino’s creative director – are called to shape the new Moncler Genius project.

Moncler arrives from Paris and Hilfiger arrives after presenting his Tommy now project in New York and Los Angeles.

In Palazzo delle Spille Moncler celebrated eight collections for men and women dedicated to autumn winter 2018-2019. In Moncler Genius Building, there was not only Pierpaolo Piccioli but also Karl Templer, Sandro Mandrino, Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Kei Ninomiya, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Francesco Ragazzi.

Very impressing was Elena Mirò Collection.

The creative partnership between Vanessa Incontrada and Elena Mirò is further strengthened through the new S / S 2018 collection, dedicated to an authentic woman. The collection opens with a carpet of flowers on an indigo-coloured world.

During Milan Fashion Week I was invited to White Fair, and it was fantastic because I met several talented and very innovative designers and I saw some very beautiful creations.

Among the designers, I was impressed by the unique shirts by the wonderful designer Balossa.

The designer who took my attention, more than anyone, was definitely Federica Tosi; I could not resist therefore I tried a black skirt and camel colour coat that were very exiting; her collections are very elegant and accessible to everyone.

Every single Federica Tosi creation is made with high-quality fabrics and talking with her, I understood she really is a wonderful person.

I also visited the beautiful stand of Marco Rambaldi, his stand was full of colours, with leather details, inspired by the 70s.

The worst show was Gucci show, really trash : the sensation was to be part of an horror movie in a operating room of an hospital.

At the main entrance, I was impressed by some perfumes that I could try andLaurent Mazzone perfumes were very special, and Mina Habanita’s Di Molinardfavourite Perfume.

There were several interesting fragrances but, very special was root beer fragrance by Abaton.

During FW 2018 I was also guest of Gianni Tolentino who created a special show called “Flower Defile’ ”where all the models had flower inserts hairstyles that added to the show a magical touch that only flowers can give.

I can say that this MFW represents an interpretations of the relationship between history, modernity where colours are the protagonists with a retrò touch.
