Talent 2016 of the Accademia Costume & Moda

1st time the winner is an Italian graduate designer,
1st time for an Italian Fashion Institute,
1st time for Rome.
Launched in November 2013, the LVMH Prize was created to honour and support young fashion designers around the world. Every year, a new designer and three graduate designers from fashion institutes are awarded the prestigious prize.
The Graduates prize is open to all students internationally who are completing their studies on a degree course at a fashion school in 2015-2016.
For this edition 2016, an Italian graduate designer from Rome, who has studied Fashion and Costume Design at our Accademia in Rome and who has already be accepted on placement, at the Roman Maison, FENDI(LVMH Group), Fur Division, is one of the three winners of the Graduate Prize.
Francesca Richiardi: flowering her studies high school studies in foreign languages enrolled at the Undergraduate Course in Costume and Fashion Design at the Accademia Costume & Moda. During her education path, in 2015 she is finalist for knitwear at the Riccione Moda Italia Contest, promoted by CNA Federmoda and always in the same year results selected by Vogue Italia / Vogue Talents in collaboration with LINEAPELLE, at the “Linea Pelle for Vogue Italia” Contest, presenting her creation, boots in leather and fur, at Palazzo Morando during the Milano Fashion Week last September.
In January 2016, in occasion of Alta Roma, during the Fashion Show Talents 2016 of the Accademia, she presents her fur collection “Ouverture au sauvage” in front of a very impressive international jury made up of creative directors, head designers, talent scouts and international schools, presided by Silvia Venturini Fendi.
Currently on her internship in the Fur Design Division in Fendi as Junior Designer during this time she applied to the LVMH GRADUATE PRIZE. Francesca Richiardi together with other 2 candidates is one of the winners of the Prize and is awarded by the Jury made up by J.W Anderson, Nicholas Guesquière, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Humberto Leon & Carol Lim, Phoebe Philo, Riccardo Tisci, Delphine Arnault, Jean Paul Claverie e Pierre-Yves Roussel.
The16th of June at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris the three graduate winners, and their respective institutions, receive a 10,000 euros grant and an opportunity to work as part of the design team at an LVMH brand for one, which in this specific case is Fendi for whom she is already working.
